Learning, Growth, and Community

Dear Green Mountain Families,

As we move into February, our school community continues to show resilience, flexibility, and a strong commitment to learning. This month is a time of reflection, adjustment, and celebration as we support our students through meaningful instruction and continued routines.

📊 Instructional Focus: Midyear Growth
Our teachers and staff are currently reviewing middle-of-the-year student data to reflect on progress and identify next steps. This important work helps us celebrate student growth while making intentional instructional adjustments to better meet each learner’s needs. You may notice shifts in small groups, targeted supports, or instructional strategies as we fine-tune learning experiences for the remainder of the year.

🏫 Mountain Pod Update
Our Mountain Pod students continue to adjust to their new learning spaces following the fire. We are incredibly proud of how flexible and resilient our students have been during this transition. Staff are working closely together to ensure these learning environments feel safe, supportive, and engaging. Thank you to our families for your patience and partnership as we continue to rebuild routines and a strong sense of belonging.

📄 Report Cards
First semester report cards will be available at the end of February. These reports provide a snapshot of your child’s progress and growth so far this year. More information about how to access report cards will be shared as the date approaches.

🤝 Thank You, Families
We are grateful for the ongoing partnership between home and school. Your support, communication, and encouragement make a meaningful difference in your child’s learning experience. If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Your partner in learning,

Cyndi Garber
Interim Principal

Head Lice Tips

Lice & Regular Head Checks

Head lice are considered a common, albeit frustrating, part of childhood and school life. The best way to control an outbreak is to regularly check your child's head at home. If you find live lice or nits (eggs) on your child’s head, start treatment as soon as possible. Your local pharmacist or health care provider can recommend appropriate treatment options.
