🌷Principal Newsletter - March 2026🌷

Dear Green Mountain Families,
March has arrived, bringing longer days and the first signs of spring. Our school community continues to focus on strong learning, growth, and supporting one another through our transitions.

🏫Portable Classrooms Have Arrived!
We are excited to share that our portable classrooms arrived this week. This is an important step in creating dedicated, welcoming learning spaces for our students. Ms. Agtonton, Ms. Daniels, Ms. Rockwell, and Ms. Bower will be moving into the portables, and our staff has been working hard to prepare these classrooms so they feel organized, comfortable, and ready for learning. We deeply appreciate your flexibility and encouragement as we continue adjusting spaces to best support students. Our children have shown incredible resilience throughout this process.

📚Conferences
Spring conferences will be held on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20. These conferences provide an important opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher, review mid-year academic progress, discuss growth in reading, writing, and math, and reflect on social-emotional development. Conferences are also a time to set goals for the remainder of the school year and strengthen our partnership in supporting your child’s success. If you have not yet signed up, please watch for communication from your child’s teacher. We strongly encourage all families to participate.

📊Teaching and Learning
Across grade levels, teachers continue to review student data and make instructional adjustments to ensure each child receives the support and challenge they need. Small group instruction, targeted skill practice, and student goal setting are helping to build both confidence and academic stamina. March is often a month of tremendous growth, and we are proud of the effort our students are showing each day.

🕰️Attendance
Regular attendance remains one of the most important factors in student success, and even missing a day can impact learning. Frequent absences can lead to gaps in foundational skills, especially in reading and math, where concepts build upon one another. Being at school consistently also supports social development, friendships, and a sense of belonging. We appreciate your partnership in helping students arrive on time and ready to learn each day, and we understand that if your child is ill, keeping them home to rest is important.

💙 Gratitude
Thank you for your continued partnership and the steady support you provide to your children. Your willingness to work alongside us makes a meaningful difference each day. Together, we are building not only strong academic skills, but also resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging for every student. We are truly grateful for the trust you place in us and for the strong home-school connection that helps our students thrive.

Warmly,

Cyndi Garber
Principal
