☔ Principal Newsletter - April 2026 ☔

Dear Green Mountain Families,

As we welcome the month of April, we are reminded of the energy and growth that spring brings to our school community. This time of year is filled with renewed focus, continued progress, and many opportunities for students to shine. We are grateful for the positivity, resilience, and strong partnerships that continue to make our school such a special place for learning and belonging.

We are excited to share that our move into the portable classrooms has been a great success. Our students and staff have shown incredible flexibility and teamwork throughout this transition, and it has been wonderful to see learning continue with such excitement and flexibility. Classrooms are settling in nicely, and we are grateful for the collective effort that made this move smooth and successful.

Across the building, we are also beginning to feel a renewed sense of normalcy in our daily routines. Students are reestablishing familiar structures, reconnecting with classroom expectations, and continuing to engage deeply in their learning. Our staff remains focused on reviewing student progress and making thoughtful instructional adjustments to support each learner as we move into the final stretch of the school year.

As we continue through the year, we are reminded of the importance of consistent attendance. Each day of learning builds on the next, and being present helps students stay connected academically and socially. We appreciate your continued partnership in ensuring students arrive on time and ready to learn each day.

April also brings a well-deserved spring break. We hope this time provides an opportunity for rest, connection, and fun for your family. Whether you are traveling or enjoying time close to home, we wish you a safe and rejuvenating break.

When we return, we will continue building momentum with engaging learning experiences, preparing for end-of-year growth, and celebrating the progress our students have made. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, flexibility, and care. Our school community continues to demonstrate strength and positivity, and we are grateful to partner with you every step of the way.

Your partner in learning,

Cyndi Garber
Principal

Purple Up! & Camo Day 🪖💜

Wear Purple or Camo on Wendnesday, April 15th to honor the Military Children for the daily sacrifices they make and the challenges they overcome. We appreciate you!

Green Mountain McTakover

Green Mountain Unicycle Team Needs You!

Who: Green Mountain Families and Friends
What: Raising money for unicycles and maintenance
When: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Where: Silverdale McDonald’s

We are looking for your support to join us at McDonald’s for dinner and dessert. Forty percent of the proceeds will go towards purchasing unicycles and maintenance. Our goal is to have as many of you come to McDonald’s as possible. If you come into the restaurant to eat, please be sure to order, eat and make room for the next customers! Remember that the drive thru works well too.

If you would like to volunteer by working at the drive up window, cleaning tables or selling coupon books, please contact Andy Lancaster at AndyL@ckschools.org or call 360-662-8732.
